Olivia C Rix

Hi, my name is Olivia and I am an Early Childhood Educator. I've been working with children for 9yrs now. I found a passion in working with children when I did camp counseling in highschool. I studied Early Childhood Education at Columbia College with the Reggio Emilia Approach. Through my college I've had the experience of observing and student teaching in infant toddler rooms, a preschool classroom, and primary classrooms. I loved getting to explore these different classrooms and ages. It was great to see the similarities and differences with both the ages of students and the classrooms. 

Along with education, another big interest of mine is fine arts. I would consider myself an artist. I've taken many art courses while in college and loved them. I got to explore ceramics, painting, digital art and drawing. I even got to hang my art in a gallery for a show. I plan to integrate arts into the classroom as much as I can because I think it is so vital for children to experience and explore.
